This week I’m working on my focus sheets for trombone. Here are the parts of the project:

• Update links on current Focus Sheets document (complete)
• Add “suggested rhythms” to the middle of each section. (complete)
• Update the instructions at the beginning of each section. (complete)
• Create a new section with the “Choose a partial” exercise. (complete)
• Write an explanation of focus sheets. (Benefit of focus sheets vs. traditional notation). (complete)
• Create an “Arpeggios” template and reproduce for 7 triads of the circle. (complete)
• Incorporate “Arpegios” for 7 triads into Focus Sheets document. (complete)
• Create a “Things to Remember” page for the the arpeggios section (complete)

I’ll try to not get too hung up on these sections being perfect. The most important thing at this point is to get them out the door so that I have something to refine later.

So far, so good. I finished everything on my list by Friday which felt really good going into the weekend.
