Week 4: Songs You Need to Know (pt. 1)
I’m going to begin work this week on creating a place to store all the beginning songs for my book (and my students). I’ll also begin work on “bracketing” those songs so beginners have an easier time of studying them.
Create the sub-domain http://www.trombone.songsyouneedtoknow.com(complete)
Clear out the old schedules on astrombone.com(complete)Create a “bracketing” template (with one bracket per line) that can be copied and pasted into the song’s .eps file. (From this I can option drag-copy brackets as needed, and cut the ones that I don’t need.)(complete)“Bracket” the following beginner songs in their optimal key for trombone:
America the Beautiful
America (My Country tis of Thee)
Auld Lang Syne
Can Can
Cuckoo
The Dradle Song
Frere Jacques
Hanukkah
Home on the Range
Hot Crossed Buns
Jingle Bells
Lightly Row
London Bridge
Mary Had a Little Lamb
Ode to Joy
Old MacDonald
Pierot’s Door
Twinkle Twinkle
When the Saints Go Marching In
Yankee Doodle Went to Town
Set up a blog at songsyouneedtoknow.com and begin experimenting with templates(complete)
–update: 7/8/07–
