The parts of my project this week are:

• Write an “explanation of key signatures” in the “Saying then Playing” section (p. 145) (complete)
• Clean up formatting of GBD… & R-grams to match “1st Songs as R-Grams” section (Left margin on, right margin 2 off the line)
• Write the Introduction – How to Use This Book (based on the rough draft I already have) (complete)
• Write a definition of Clefs (p. 17) (complete)
• Flesh out the “How to Break Down a Song” section (added 7/31/07 – I added this because I need to have this section complete before I could create the “Songs” page) (complete)
• Create the following exercise:

Choose a note you know

Say the rhythm before playing (ta’s/t’s)

Play that note on the following rhythms:

(The rhythms will be variations of the foundation rhythms)

• Incorporate Appendix into book (as “Songs” section), with songs in the order that I teach them (complete)
• Incorporate Appendix into the book with the songs in alternate keys that are possible on trombone (alphabetical order) (complete)

I finished all but one of the project parts. I got a whole heck of a lot of things done this week so I’m pretty happy.
